Many of you old-timers will know Karl Mauer, who (among his many accomplishments) was the Further Confusion Dealers Con Store lead until just a few years ago when his wife's condition worsened. He's taking a severance package to stay at home with her because her condition has worsened (no, I don't know what her medical condition is... I'm not sure I ever asked.)

It's one of those weird things... I am so afraid of offending or causing harm that I will NOT ask for details (I really can't "read" when someone wants/needs to share or when they are in so much pain that they don't want to discuss it... so I just don't ask.)
