was making some freeing up on the c today by reinstaling fallout4 onto a different drive.

it sure was an adventure getting online to steam after years using it offline, and actually making it undestand i wanted to change the drive, It really struggled with that.

then I uninstalled the game, and reinstalled it else weir.
Deleted the nexus mods after i copied them into the new folder.

of course i forgot that when i dont uninstall them first with nexus, the drive tends to phantom memorise them taking up space that actually has been freed up.

then I want to test launch the game,
and of course there has been an update to it in those years i was playing offline. so now my skse? F4se doesnt works anymore,

and i cant even download the most recent version because it is only on nexus.
where I cant log in, because i was not active for a long time, or I had to change the main disk at several points in recent history, or i using a different machine. and I dont have access to the mails from back then.

I hate modernisation that does not understands the part about making it better and easier.

at least the c drive has now 10x more space, even when 50-60% of it is being phantom occupied.
