Since some people have been asking, here is some basic lore for Lars The Barbarian King:

Lars Lionheart is the current king of Ironvale, a kingdom founded around 500 years ago by one of his ancestors, Ragnar Lionheart. Lars, like so many of his siblings, was a bastard child of it's former king, Andvaldus Lionheart. Ironvale does not have a traditional way of choosing it's ruler. When the current king or queen grows old, a quest is given by said king or queen, and whomever in Ironvale completes it is crowned it's new ruler. Lars gained his crown and right to rule by slaying the foul Necromancer, Zoortak the Ever-Living, and thus ridding not only Ironvale, but the whole world, of the vile magicians malice. Lars has turned out to be a quite popular and competent king, ruling fairly with both sword and scepter.

However, Lars also likes to travel, and while traveling, he likes to sow his "royal oats" in as many women as he can, not only to assure that his legacy lives on, but also to increase the chances that his successor is one of his children.
