Garfield and Friends, I absolutely hated Johnny Test when I was growing up. I'm not judging people that like it, but it was NOT my thing.

Oh fuck, I didn't even remember that sound effect until you mentioned it! No, I don't actually remember why I hated that show so much, it just... really pissed me off, as a kid. Then again, I wasn't always the most rational child.

Perfectly reasonable. I'd say it pissed off most people with a functioning cortex. Still got six seasons though (and a seventh on Netflix!).

I mean, that's pretty good for a sh- OH MY FUCKNG GOD! I JUST REMEMBERED BLING-BLING BOY! Holy... shit... I just couldn't stand that character, I think he was a big reason for my ire. Again, if anyone absolutely adores that character, I am not judging.

The problem is that Bling-Bling boy was not an exception. Not an aberration. He was pretty much a perfect demo of what the show was going to have in store for you, the viewer.

I also must admit, since my family was financially struggling during some times I saw that show, I kind of resented characters that were so cavalier about having wealth. I don't mean that I hate people that have money, I just really didn't like the narcissism portrayed with rich characters.

Both shows are pretty bland overall, and Garfield is funnier more often, but when Johnny Test has a good joke, it's one to laugh out loud to. There are some moments in that show that I would even compare to the hilarity of Ed Edd n Eddy, and trust me, that is some high praise

Johnny Test is a hit cartoon show that ran from 2005 to 2014, with a Netflix revival in 2020, spanning 6+ seasons and 117 episodes. It stars the titual character, a spikey-haired boy who gets into repeated misadventures with his talking dog when his "genius" sisters repeatedly use him to "test" their inventions.

It's a charming romp for children of every age and in no way makes you want to stab your eyes out.

That was only about two per episode tbh given the amount of episodes stated. I watched a couple episodes when I was younger I never minded it too much. But also I usually ended up going and playing videogames after a point.

I see it like an SCP: the creators undoubtedly HAD brain damage, and they were able to create something that could somehow reproduce said damage, spreading it like a contagion. That would explain how it ran for six seasons.

Four hours isn't that bad tbh of either of these.

Going back and reviewing, G+F actually has a kind of boomer humor charm to it (and some decent actual animation to boot). That said...it's Garfield. Stale joke after stale joke, for several hours.

Pretty interesting that G+F had that sort of thing back then despite the fact it was around 90s kids. But I guess it makes sense. I only remember bits and pieces about that show, I remember above all being a little annoyed having to take time away from Garfield for the farm animals. But I know some people liked them.

Garfield and Friends. If you want to make this a harder choice, do Johnny vs Garfield but replacing Lorenzo Music with Chris Pratt.

I was surprised checking in on a few G+F episodes, it's not as awful as I remember. That said, it's still Garfield.

Depends is the four hours of Garfield and friends the best or Nermal marathon or just the series I think a better challenge is choosing between Johnny Test and Teen Titans Go!

I was mostly thinking of the farm segments when I wrote this, so in spirit it's all those, no normal Garfield segments. TTG isn't a contest though, I think most people will take "show made by people who have utterly checked out" over "show made by people with absolute contempt for the art form they're engaging in" every time. Also, there's no memory of a previous, GOOD version of Johny Test for a later one to defile.

Garfield and friends is so much preferable than Johnny test. And that's coming from a guy who've watched that CN show for a few years on TV and only like a handfull of pieces from 2 episodes from Garfield and friends.

Johnny test is below fairy odd parents but only the IRL reboot, which is below Breadwinners. And breadwinners is super average, if not midly mediocre. And that should tell you how unlikable Johnny test is.

The contrast of Johnny test would be Megas XLR, and you'll notice the huge gap between the two.

I've said it in other replies, but I honestly overestimated how terrible Garfield and Friends was; I remember it being a lot more brain melting. Maybe TV has just decayed so much that my point of reference has slipped though.
