Question to you guys about my art!
Hey! I got a question for you guys, if you wanna help me out!
Cuz i’d love some input.
(And if you don’t mind me rambling a little)
So, i’ve been thinking about my art lately. ways I could improve, mix things up, or just push myself further. Of course i got my own list of things i think i can improve upon. Or habits that might be limiting me. But you know how it is when you try to analyse yourself. It’s hard to tell if you’re being realistic or if it’s just your brain being weird and overly critical.
So I wanted to ask, if you’ve ever looked at my stuff and thought, "hmm, maybe this could be better" or "I kinda wish there was more of that" I’d love to hear your thoughts on that stuff.
Like, are there things you think other artists do well that you’d wanna see me try? Stuff I could push further? (For example, I feel like I draw faces kinda same-y a lot, and my stuff can look a bit static sometimes, both with character angles and interactions. Or sometimes my coloring can lack contrast i feel.)
Obviously, no pressure or anything! But if you’ve got any thoughts, I’d really appreciate it. Since this dono drive thing seems like the perfect opportunity to experiment a bit.
So ye, if you guys got critiques, suggestions, i wanna encourage you guys to gimmi some ideas on what stands out as things my art might be lacking. No pressure tho. I think giving critiques can be like.. Idk awkward? like you don’t wanna be pushy about it and stuff. But still, if you guys have some feedback, i’d love to hear it.
(rambling over woo. Also thank you guys in advance!)

But ye thanks for the reply!
We don't see a lot full, taut-looking shapes from you. But when you do them, you do them well. That's something I'd like to see you work on; big, full, round shapes.
The first is that when you draw blobs head-on, you tend to push the belly up to keep the legs visible. This can cause the belly to lack a sense of depth, like in your Griotte pic.
Another thing I noticed is you sometimes stretch out the character's spine and/or limbs when drawing blobs. It's pretty rare, but your Diane pic is a good example of this.
For the second point, it's a bit weird working with characters with unrealistic sizes. I feel like you kinda gotta break those bones a bit if you want to pull actual poses out of those blob shapes. It's just a question of getting away with it by making it stylised/good looking enough, i guess! But i guess it being pointed out means i could work more on masking that stuff more.
Thanks for the feedback!
I do try to wary up my shapes a bit. At least i've been trying to recently, and i guess that comes with some of them being a bit more on that flatter-looking side, rather than having big bulbous rolls. Still, that's fair!
Even though it's technically nowhere near the stuff you're putting out now, I wish there was more of this kind of subject matter

Oh also, please draw more comically thicc pancakes.
Or! If you enjoy what you make, then it really doesn't do your work any harm to stay consistent. Plenty of folks say your work's really good, and I gotta agree. Especially your color theory, it's very recognizable as your style's most visually eye-catching quality.
