No One In Washington Knows Whats Going On

No one in Washington knows whats going on.
Period.
Couldn't be more true right now.
Of course arriving to work today the topic of the email response was the first thing on everyones mind wondering what to do about it; and so we wait. Morning meetings happen, conferences happen, and I start glancing at my government email account waiting for some kind of guidance as to what to do, armed with the document that I wrote up Sunday with bullet points in it to justify why I am a federal employee.
And the document was sent, I'll say that, but over the course of Monday here I've felt more and more bitter and strung out on a fucking leash than before.
Through the course of the day I've heard:
-The Department Of Transportation says reply to the email as instructed.
-The managers say don't reply to it and ignore it.
-The PASS union guidance says do what the Department Of Transportation has asked.
-The FAA then chips in with a gigantic shrug of its shoulders saying do whatever you want with it.
-News articles saying that no one will fucking read the fucking emails and all that will happen is they'll be fed through an AI Language Learning algorithm coldly judging whats written to determine who keeps their jobs or not.
-And another email from PASS union with a link to TheHill.com saying that it was always a voluntary thing and a lack of an answer doesn't mean any resignation.
-And lastly, maybe, headlines hinting that the US President our lord and savior Trump is backing off from this email response meaning anything.
Motherfuckers. Which is it. What is it. Is anyone driving the bus.
More than likely my response to this stupid ass email will get tossed and discarded, because I guess one of the crippling limitations of the fucking AI scanner bullshit is that it isn't capable of reading attachments, and stupidly or fortunately, I just attached the document and sent it on its way; because, you know, I still trust that theres a god damn human person that's being tasked with reading this shit and not just giving a machine something to do.
Here at the end of the day I don't know what to think of it all. I still have a job for now. No telling for how long given all the fuckery going on.
