Writing this while on my phone at work, excuse mistakes.

Something rather unexpected occurred this morning that I didn't see ever happening;  slinkydragon Slinkydragon unblocked me on Telegram after four years and openly invited me to partake into his 'Taurtrains chat.

Really waan't thinking that this would happen because of the deep running bad blood between us thats been there for the better part of thirteen years? Eighteen years?

What ended up happening is that I wasn't the greatest person online and pissed off a lot of people to where I got banned from FurAffinity. I'd already established myself as a Centaurpede and am quite proud of it because no one else is doing these things with 'taur forms, but yet I'm getting no recognition for my commissions or anything.

But now that I'm kicked off of the main furry focused art site, now comes Slinkydragon with his rampant 'taurtrain commissioning and getting all the attention, and now for years whenever I went to cons the first thing an artist would say is "oh so you're like the dragon guy!".

It really irked me to be considered a imposter copy in the shadow of someone else when I'd had the idea to be a leggy 'taurtrain for a while beforehand; and this lasted for several years. Sure seemed like Slinkydragon could just commission anything at any time while I couldn't even think about keeping up.

Years later Slinkydragon's momentum in commissioning has slowed down; Telegram and Discord exist now, and I have come around to liking some of his concepts and wanted to say so. I probably didn't go about it the best way to say that my bitterness towards him had eased so I just got flatly rejected from ever talking to him again on Telegram.

Until today.

This morning I look at Telegram and see he messaged me and extended an invite to join the 'Taurtrains group, as well as a short background discussion that he discovered the 'taurtrain form through an entirely different means.
So it was never about seeing what I was doing or stealing ideas, we both did this seperately on each side of the world within a few years of eachother.

Yeah that makes me feel better about the whole thing; neither of us seeking apoligetic words from one another, just admiting we're both on level ground here being many legged 'taurs and encouraging others to do the same and keep this idea going, which everyone whose into it benefits from.
