I personally like the Whiteface style of European clowns. A lot of them were dressed by French designer Gérard Vicaire , usually making use of a more velvet and sequin design that looks quite shiny indeed. Formal and beautiful, giving the whiteface their prestigous and elegant looks. I found a costume that might fit with the blue of Austin's fur quite well. https://i.imgur.com/3l6ZRQt.jpeg <---a hat reminiscent of a pierrot would go with it. I sure also like the combination of the classic whitefase with the more colorful and silly clowns, just preferring it not to be overdone in combination with makeup. The puffy overalls sure are always cute, combaning that with the shimmering satin material, the frilly fringes or a ruff around the neck can be sweet as well to add that extra element.

Thank you for doing the research. To be honest, I really love the Whiteface Shiny Totodile and both of his cute clown outfits, and I love the clown outfit that you picked out for Austin. That was super cute, silly and cool. I definitely think that the Whiteface with the clown outfit would be super cute, cool and silly on Austin. It would definitely matches his silly personality, especially when he is eating a lot of cakes with his magical powers, hehe. XD

Ah, I guess it's rather an ornate and elegant type of suit rather the silly kind. Whiteface clowns in the classical sense where somewhat of the foil to the auguste, like the presenter, the teacher, the boss. Of yourse it's nice to subvert that trope somewhat. I at least love the idea of the musical clown or the magical clown who might appear like the classical Whiteface yet may marry traits of both roles.
I know of course there are lots of other ways one can go about the clown role yet. Long before modern clowns we had jesters, the harlequin, the columbine and pierrot, mimes and the since ancient times existing idea of the trickster character. They are all entertainers and their designs are all neat in their own ways.
Just thought you might find yourself also interested in that vibe the outfit eminates even if it's quite different from your more auguste inspired clown overalls.

I am grateful you replied back. It's just that I don't really have muchluck staying in touch with folks who like the circus vibes. They either tend to rather keep it just their thing or simply not intruiged enough to consider Shiny and their characters might be compatible with their joy in the concepts. I am certainly happy you found Percival to share some fun with already.

Your overalls remind me a lot of clown toy dolls and figurines that seem quite popular and reminiscent of the stripes of a circus tent, originally a sign to call for the attention of people that they are like a runaway troupe of people after the 1800s. The colors add to the caricarture feel and yet hold onto the playful appearance. It's all nice and happy looking. You both make a nice dynamic duo.

Gotcha. Elegant suit is super pretty and cool as well! Makes sense that the whiteface clowns were the presenters or teachers. The whiteface draws so much attention on them, so it makes sense. Magical and musical clowns are super cool. I like a combination of both as well. I like mimes and jesters as well. Austin can be a trickster at times, but he always have a kind heart, lol. Gotcha makes sense. It is cool to wear different outfits and be different types of clowns besides my own, if that makes sense? Thanks for sharing. I guess you could say both. Austin has a special ability to summon a huge buffet of cakes and eat all of them up like a vacuum cleaner, hehe. XD

Yep, Percival and Austin has a lot of the same personalities and interests except for a very small difference. Mostly Percival gets scared easily, lol. XD

Hmm, guess it's more like classifications that clowns were known as throughout history. The different outfits are like commonly based of certain inspirations for their acts. The jesters had their colorful gowns at first to give off a comedic representation of nobles. I can imagine it must have been a bit risky of a profession. If a noble might not have been one to get the joke the jester could have ended up in the next jail or even worse...Yeah. ^_^'

I mainly had those two outfits for Shiny anyways. I'd of course be open for something akin to a jester or other cuts for something that feels fun. I liked the appearance of the slightly puffy overalls and gave Shiny that green one with a hat that you can turn inside-out and switch between a green and a rainbowy design. The hat is also that more poofier balloon hat one to go with the trousers he wears in the example. I decided against clown shoes or the overly use of make-up with it to let Shiny's Pokémon features shine through better. Totodile as a Pokémon I initially fell in love with simply because they appeared to me as that cheerful personality already. So I assume if one wanted to include Shiny in a clown number, his natural access to Water Gun might make for a nice one. There at least exist plenty comedic acts where one gets sprayed with water in the end, whether it being one of those soda bottles or a fake flower connected to a hidden water tank.

It's okay. I just hope it doesn't come off as pushy. Whenever I tend to feel like somebody else and I might enjoy sharing projects and the sorts, it tends to end up with me seemingly intruding something going on that people might only share with a special friend of yours, or even go as far as while sharing such things online aren't actually too fond of anybody but them selves in that context.
Anyways, it's appreciated, no matter the delay. The sentiment in itself is generous.
