It's a bit hard to do comms when I have so many people I DO want to comm. Commissions can get expensive. x3

I think it's not about the high cost, I think even inexpensive slots are not in demand.

The competition can be rough sometimes. When you’re spending money on a luxury as art. Prices. Style. What’s also In fashion / holiday themes.

Also trying a new artist out when you do have the money can be daunting. Maybe they don’t want/like your character. Then… Everyone Is also broke.

Lastly. The “Meta.” Of YCH’s seem to be the new normal. YCH’s costing more than fully original artwork. I thought the point of them was to… Make It easier between artist and commissioner? And they’re suppose to be done quicker and cheaper? At least. That’s what I thought.


I know people enjoy the YCH model? It’s easier to just to bid Instead of coming up with an Idea and then approaching the artist? I understand this Is not always the case. It’s artist by artist basis.

Anyways. I’d love to discuss something for when I get paid next Friday. :3

The number of artists has really increased a lot lately..
For everyone, ychs have different values, for customers it is a way to compensate for the lack of wishes, for an artist it is a way to realize their desires that are not ordered!

у самой все крайне хреново с заказами,но уже давно. Только и приходиться понижать цены как можно сильнее. (Ну типа поставила монохромные халфбади за 25 баксов- никто не брал месяца два, поставила 15- взяло кучу людей в первый же день)
Так что не думаю что это с ситуацией в штатах. Это просто художников стало как грязи по весне :D конкуренция в арт сфере бешенная.

Ну вот у меня нет никакого выдающегося стиля еще и работаю медленно х3 сама безумно расстроена и понимаю что работу надо другую уже искать х) хотя я только и умею рисовать

Обычно тенденция такая наблюдается с октября по декабрь,в этом году это затянулось уже надолго.
И самое грустное что ты просто можешь не нравиться людям и с этим буквально ничего не сделать,изменение стиля может помочь,но это процесс нелегкий :(

Я оч много худов видела, у которых даже стиль не выразительный, аудитории мало,но именно сформировалась платежеспособная база,что стабильно и много кормит.

A discord server doesn't always need to be in ones native to gue, you could make one just to trade out art and keep tabs on the community that follows around you y'know?

More for me dying from all issues on this site like Facebook and Twitter drama honestly. Mean I left this sight only time I ever show up here for some cheap bases or free to use to make some stuff and earn a bit of cash

I think it's just a money problem... I know for me and most of my friends in the US at least, it's just hard to really spend on art. Has been for the past few years really... So the handful of commissions I have gotten lately are mostly smaller and cheaper ones >.<

+1 for broke as well here and just generally feeling passive when it comes to FA due to life stressors.

Given people's financial situation, I wouldn't be surprised.

Me for example I absolutely love your art, but I only spend around $60 on art every 3 or 4 months. So I'll probably get a fullbody pic from a cheaper artist instead of saving for 5-6 months and buying a $100 amazing headshot/icon. I think many people just happen to be in the same situation.

Macro is also a niche topic and lately you've been doing quite a lot of it. There's a chance some people who followed you for a long time aren't very interested in macro and just decided not to buy the YCHs.

I'm not saying you should do this, but maybe making spring promotion or experimenting with different YCH ideas. That might help attract a few people!
