Looney Tunes: The Day the Earth Blew Up
Earlier this weekend, I saw a movie based on Lonney Tunes starring Daffy Duck and Porky Pig; The Day the Earth Blew Up, and I gotta say…. It’s the best animated movie based on cartoons this year has, and we’re only in March.
It was funny, it had a lot of heart, and the best thing; it was completely 2-D animated!
Another plus is that it does NOT have a star studded cast like most animated flicks out in modern times. Unless you count Peter MacNicol and Wayne Knight. But there in the cast we have Eric Bauza, Candi Milo, Kimberly Brooks, Carlos Alrazqui, Fred Tatasciore, Laraine Newman, Andrew Kishino, Keith Ferguson; and that’s who I could recognize.
True talent was belong to bring this to life, special mention goes to
Themadcatter himself, Andrew Dickman as he was one of the storyboard artists.
Like most from WB, this was supposed to be an exclusive to the streaming service, Max, but got shelved for completely dumb reasons, but was picked up by and indie studio called Ketchup after it was shown in a film festival.
If you love Looney Tunes and want to enjoy a good, old-fashioned 2-D movie like in days of yore; by all means, give it a watch if you’ve the time.
Oh, one last thing before I end this journal…. David Zaslav can SUCK IT!

It was a very fun movie. I enjoyed it and laughed throughout. I was a little disappointed that there were no other cameos from any of the other Looney Toons, but eh. Oh well. Would LOVE to see them do more feature length animated movies like this with 2D animation to release in theaters.

OP
It shows hard work with all the talent involved; but the heads in WBD apparently loves losing money rather than put out anything half-decent.
