General Yondard Story PT3
I do not have the entire story and sequence of events planned out and set in stone, but I want to have somewhere to post a general overview of what the story would have been without going into many minute details.
This is the part where the story starts to get a bit fragmented, and I don't quite have all the connecting pieces and all the ideas set.
For the time being, Rahtinah and Taiga recoup in Potts. Taiga is frustrated seeing his 'loyal' guards take orders from the one who took over Black Maw to capture him (although, for all intents and purposes, they were forced into that position). It's less obvious what Rahtinah is going through, but, while still dealing with the pain of her arms (and not quite fully assimilating them yet), her Time dialated perception has gotten worse (Rahtinah 'percieves' things at a rate that everything is slower to her, which leads to some impatience on her part. Also she *hates* it when someone talks too slow). Not only that, but Rahtinah hates her absorbtion ability, and the fact that she had to use it, to her, shows her weakness. And her weakness is, as far as she knows, why her master 'abandoned' her.
While Rahtinah had wanted to train Taiga, she has to reacclimate to her perception changing as well as her new arms. Tensions are getting high, and the two eventually get into an argument, with Rahtinah talking about how Taiga was too weak to keep his country, and Taiga calling her a murderer (by this point he knows a bit about the incident where she had to absorb someone to live when she was younger). Rah doesn't take this lightly, punching Taiga through a wall and a good distance away. Alas, the place they are in has a policy for patrons to repair damages they caused, and Rahtinah is quickly given repair materials. Taiga, hurt and slightly embedded into the ground, mulls over what he had done. Despite how he felt, Rahtinah was right: he was too weak.
He decides to talk to Rahtinah again, and meets back up with her, still repairing the wall (and Taiga is also given repair materials). It would take some time, but the two would reconscile.
Kolruu is elsewhere, buying more food for Fennia (although he gets that, for some reason, she finds the food disgusting. Yondards don't quite have the palette of a human). He already had his 'meal' and it would satisfy for the time being, although he dislikes that he had to do this. He bumps into Rahtinah, and Kolruu recognizes her... and in him wells up considerable anger, causing him to transform slightly, but restrain himself enough to not cause much surrounding damage. Despite her pleas, Kolruu isn't having it and attacks her. Rah is unable to do much of anything to Kolruu, and she is subdued. He goes in to devour her, but he hesitates... eventually forcing himself to calm down, as if this outburst isn't quite of his own volition.
He lets her free and leaves.
At some point Kolruu would tell Fennia what's going on with himself: he himself is little more than a vessel, almost an autyon himself. Inside himself is housed a weakened Beyondard named Kira. While he wouldn't get into the details he has to eat other Yondards for Kira's sake. And his attacking Rahtinah was due to Kira's influence.
Fennia, Rahtinah, Kolruu, and one other, Yonnie, were all friends in their youth. However, due to an incident, Yonnie and Rahtinah suffered severe burns from a light shaft. Neither would have survived, but Yonnie let her absorb him so that she could survive. Kolruu, however, hated Rahtinah for it, as it was her fault her and Yonnie were in such a situation, and while they were previously all friends, Kolruu and Yonnie were almost brothers. Yonnie's death would end up breaking the group up for a long while.
