furaffinity is probably one of my favorite websites period. maybe only second to bandcamp? idk but i do really enjoy using this site. i even pay for fa+ even tho it doesnt let me upload higher res images and is kind of pointless i want to support this sites continued existence regardless because i cant imagine the upkeep for such an old site like this is very cheap. my favorite thing is that this site is purely what im interested in: furry art. not many sites like it in that way. i dont care about the super-smash-minecraft-skibidi-spiderman universe. i care about furry art.
i got banned for the second time last week. it was because i drew myself- actually if u wanna know why u can just look at my twitter or bsky, the art is still uploaded on there and will never be deleted from those sites..... its frustrating, i don't like how right-leaning this sites staff is. pretty sure if you drew yourself killing communists or really any kind of enemy you would find in a call of duty game you would never get banned. i can complain forever. a double standard exists.
ive felt a friction with the entire furry fandom since i started making art in it. i feel like i fundamentally do this whole thing differently than everyone else, and because of that i get treated as an outsider or a troll. its frustrating because when i was looking outside -> in i thought these people would welcome someone trying to do something different, and a lot of people do appreciate it, but i do think most furries would prefer an artist who just draws feetvoreporn forever and never changes. like this whole furry art thing to them is a way to escape their shitty life and trying to treat it as a real artform that deserves to be changed and thought about intellectually is a waste of time and wrong. there is no place for a furry artist to make politically minded art in their world, us artists are machines to give them the "content" they need to feel better. like shut the fuck up keep making gore porn for me to jack off to thank you! stop trying to talk shut the fuck up you are being too edgy and zionist-babyfur1488 reported you and demands you be banned. so shut up shut up shut the fuck up!
venting my frustrations.
the furry artists ive met have all been super cool and accepting of me and i think(?) agree with my sentiment of wanting to do something "new" and agrees that furry art is a lot deeper than what a lot of people think. every friend ive made here has been awesome. despite my feelings this is the place i will continue to choose to be online because i feel the most accepted here and there isnt anything else like it. going to furry conventions is like my pilgrimage to mecca, equally as religious and eye-opening.
vore comic is almost done. i love you. im gonna keep making my shit and i think maybe ill start doing some new shit soon. i think i need to change it up. less politics more heaven and god. thx for reading.

I'm SO tired of people here saying "Keep your politics off of my furry pr0n site!" If they don't like it, they can keep their mouths shut and just move on.
And geez, I thought that FA+ was supposed to allow you to upload stuff at higher res.
regardless, i am very glad you're here and still posting, your work is amazing and has given me the inspiration and drive to create needed to get me through some tough times.

2. while f/a isnt my Favorite art hosting site i do agree that its one of the biggest hubs for furries to congregate and share art; especially agree on the principle that furry art shouldn't just be an escapist avenue for people but a genuine artistic exercise that should challenge people like the modern art movements of the 19th & 20th centuries
3. re your point abt the staff & the refusal to oust genuine bigots & predators in the fandom: given the easy route from escapism to political apathy, this is probably why the site's staff and an infuriating amount of furries are right-leaning in the first place. if someone has nothing to Really escape from due to privilege, then the reminder that injustice (race/gender/class-based/etc.) still exists and they implicitly/explicitly Benefit from it will incense them (hence why a large number of furries still act like somethingawful mods and not, Human Beings). i don't think we're doomed and maybe ppl will grow in awareness of this conservative lean and push back against it (not just online but in public spaces) but we'll see u_u

you come here because your life is shit. you come here to live anohter life where youre a 20 story tall fox and have sex all the time. the desire to jump into the screen is everywhere around here. why i love furry cons is because it removes the screen and u just get to meet the freaks in real life
It's loaded with political commentary and irony in a way that feels brutal and real. I wouldn't say "shock value", because even the casual gore or suicide mention carries loads of meaning in the current sociopolitical context surrounding your work.
FA has trouble dealing with this because even though they self-proclaim themselves as trying to do good, their vision of what furry art can be is pretty or horny drawings (or both). And capital A art is not always just something pretty.
Thanks for sharing your art, and I hope that, regardless of subject matter in your work, you're managing to stay alive and healthy in this crazy world we live in
(EDIT) Like, to add on this. I notice a lot of people have issue with how things are "said" or done. You can wish to end fascism, you can even insinuate aggression ("haha it's just a meme"), but if you make a point that yes sometimes you will need to stand your ground "WHOA WHOA THERE, YOU GOTTA BE CIVIL!"

It's good that you've found cool artists, we're all in on the problems in the fandom and do talk about the community and our respective beats and experiences between one another. The whole 'popufurs' being cold and aloof is simply people don't know how weird furries who don't make art can get. FurAffinity is like the one place that doesn't feel like a mobile app to use, and likewise has always been central in my heart for a web presense. tl;dr furry artists good, glad to have you in the community, your art rocks.
FA's staff just blows ass. That's all there is to it.
Honestly I do believe sometimes I haven't been banned before due strictly to legacy in the fandom (been here so long, been popular, etc.) The staff seems entirely unpredictable and they do play favorites.
I find that to be unfair behavior.
I have been here for so long that I remember being able to post anything to FA as long as it was furry related. Even cub art, it was allowed here. Now you risk it all posting protest work. Like damn, that slope really was slippery. I feel old.
