Just to let everyone know the cancellation of my trip to AC this year has now been cancelled and gone through. I was thinking about waiting till at least the end of the month (april) but decided to go on ahead and cancel. I really cannot see anything improving - in fact it seems to be getting worse with reports regarding trump possibly eventually trying to deport *actual* US citizens(!).
I must admit I really cannot see myself coming back until trump has gone. For now though I'm just going to confuzzled this year. However (and although I'm likely too late for this year) I think it might be worth re-investigating Eurofurence. In the past I've always said about the language barrier but there's no harm in checking again I guess.

I made this decision earlier this year. Instead of Motor City, a friend and I went to Quebec City and stayed in a hotel inside the old walled town. I love my American friends, but I'm not spending a dime there if I can help it.
