....ugh!

Ok so I know I have been rather quiet over the last few weeks and months but I have a reason for this - it's medical.
A few months back I noticed a slight change of bowel habits (ok, it is a bit embarrising - increased flatulence!). So I went to my local GPs (doctor) to try to find out what the problem was.
I did a thing called a "fit test". No that dosen't just check to see you are "fit" or not it looks for tiny bits of blood in your stool.
Mine came back positive a couple of weeks ago although my "score" wasn't very high. The "limit" is 10 but I scored 22. If you were up around 50 or 100 - that is a major cause for concern.,
Yesterday I had a colonoscopy at a nearby hospital and they found 3(!) things wrong with that area of the body. The first was haemerroids (which I think can be remidied or made better). I also now have something called diverticular disease (again I think this might be able to be made better; it just means a lack of fiber in the diet going by the paperwork) - note that it isn't the same as diverticulitis. And they found two polyps - but they were tiny (4mm and 3mm) and have been removed to check to see if they are beningn or maligment.
I think the worst thing though was taking the revolting plenvu laxitive beforehand (needed to get a clear picture by the doctor doing the colonoscopy). Tasted revolting and up all night on the toliet. Ugh!
So claws crossed nothing bad with those polyps will be found ( there's about a 2 week wait there ) and the hospital itself said that they probably didn't think that they were cancerous but just to check to be on the safe side.
Hopefully I can fix or get over at least 2 of these - haemmerhoids (which should be easy to fix), the divertulosis disease (helped by eating more fiber). No idea about the polyps!
BTW .... this isn't the reason why I didn't go to anthrocon this year. My main concern was that something bad might happen at anthorocon this year what with trump and ice and maga and that it would be harder (since trump is in power again) to get a new VISA. As for going to the USA next year - I am honestly not sure at this point. No idea on that one it depends on what happens politically - and if it gets any easier to get a new VISA. Right now it dosen't look like that it will be.
