Anyone got a guide for...
Asking animators and non-animators alike. I was wondering if any of you had a guide or could help me learn how to do sex stuff. I've seen some really good animations where it appears it's more than just a simple rig. Unless it's just really perfect animation, I assume it's partially simulated. Jiggle physics would also be great to know about. Anyone with any info, please post it! And if you have the time to demonstrate personally, that would be fantastic.
While I work in Maya, I could probably apply the concepts from Blender and such.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe someone like ruaidri is the perfect guy to ask or even collaborate with in this case!

Oh! I've recently seen their work! I might have to reach out to them and see if they'd like to help. I wonder what app they use

I always assumed it lines of code anyone could have added themselves.

Well it helps a lot to make a partial connection between the two rigs it makes it feel like two bodies are interacting with each other. Jiggle physics is important and for this there are many tools that you can choose yourself. I would also add the shape of a key for tightening the abdominal muscles, it's a small detail but expressive. Don't worry, it's a pretty simple loop. I'm sure you'll have no trouble with it.

That's smart with the belly flex! I definitely wouldn't have thought of that. As far as the connection, do you mean like tying them together indirectly like how one might do to connect a hand to another's hip?

Yes, one bone of one rig can be made a temporary child of a bone of a second rig. You can make it follow the movement of the parent not 100% but 30%. Then, when the pelvis moves back and forth, the second body will move slightly, adding the effect of interaction.

Yeah, that makes sense! Thanks for that <3

It's very performance heavy and can be a little touchy but a shrinkwrap modifier is what I use to keep the bits and bobs from clipping into eachother. So what I generally do is animate it so that the two are just barely touching and then have the shrinkwrap handle the rest. often helps to smooth the result. Hope that helps and if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Oh very intriguing! Is this a Maya modifier or are you in Blender? If the latter, I'll have to see if there's something similar and look into it

I'm referring to blender, but I would think an industry giant like maya has some sort of equivalent! There's also a modifier in blender called "cast" which I use to make easy to move bulges though it is limited in circular shape so adding displacement on top of it can help.
