I feel like bid sniping is always a possibility, regardless of when the auction ends. But I definitely see your point. The reason I made this call was because I wasn't sure how stable FA was, given its recent site maintenance. I didn't know if it was going to go down again this week, and I wanted to be able to communicate to people updated information about protocol in the event of another hiccup. Because I don't use Twitter/X or any other platform for mass communication with my FA followers, this seemed like the best option.
