Rare Soapbox Moment
Returning from a work-cation I was offline during to find that one of my favorite artists banned me from their Patreon, Discord server, blocked both my FA (Zelko) and LM FA (Blu), and both corresponding Bluesky accounts as well, all with zero warning or explanation, is wild.
I was fairly inactive as far as engaging with their community, but the last thing I remember doing was using this Zebra-Heart emoji I made to react to an art post, which yes, has a silly little tail.
My other guess is that they looked at Zelko's account and took personal issue with the art on it. The same could be possible for Blu's art I suppose, hard to say.
Assuming one of those is right: It continues to blow my mind how there are people who are so atypical (fetishes, how they present themselves, etc), who demand acceptance and respect, but loose their minds with others over the slightest misstep out of what they consider acceptable.
This world is a two way road, learn to give what you get.

As far as it being baseless as to why this specific situation took place, I'd like to think they are some educated guesses from years of experience seeing this same pattern in general. Regardless, there's nothing I can do about the fact I got no information, and that leaves me with nothing but the ability to guess.
To clarify, the point of me writing this wasn't "Reee, this one person blocked me, go scream at them or something", hence I didn't name names. The point is that there are people who struggle to be feel/be accepted, who require a lot of energy as they demand complete acceptance and tolerance for some out there things, yet hypocritically have none of that understanding to give out themselves. Each time this cycle happens, it makes it that much harder to summon that same energy and compassion for the next person, making their own problem worse.
Even if I am not right about that being what happened in this specific case, not only is this absolutely a thing in general, but so much so that it is about as newsworthy as Obama being (now formerly) president. This is simply me taking my turn to ring an old bell.
Hopefully that helps.
I've noticed there's quite a lot of such types around, often they plaster their profile with aggression and it's obvious it's someone to avoid interacting with. The golden rule is sadly mostly forgotten, for many it's easy to just banish everyone that causes them even slight discomfort
And yes, it certainly feels like a high effort and thus high intent thing, so clearly something set them off pretty badly, which is why I guessed the things I did. Although, in this case, I never had any reason to concretely believe they would have a problem with any of it, which is part of what made it such a shock. But that brings me full circle back to it having been something they had some very strong feelings over, given again that high effort/intent. I mean, I'd sure hope it had to be something very serious from their POV to make that happen. That sure would be a hell of a lot to do for anything less.
even worse cus you were actively paying them
But yes, Patreon for 3.5 years and I don't even know what I did, less guessing they decided to take silent issue with what I was doing in my corner, or went full nuclear over an emote.
