I'm making this partly because I want to have an actual featured journal that isn't like
3 years old.
But also because I want to lay out how I feel and what I want to do going forward.
The tl;dr version of it is that going forward I'm just going to upload the things that I want to upload, regardless of how well I think they'll do or how "on brand" they are. Mostly because I just buck against the idea of being pigeon holed on principle. Yes, I know that I have a certain type of art I tend to upload and as such attract a certain audience and I really appreciate that! None of that stuff is going anywhere, I promise. I still love doing that stuff.
But I'm ngl, I've never been fully comfortable with the idea of being known for only one thing. In a lot of ways, this is me just doing the things that make me happy. If you enjoy the things I post outside of my usual bullshit, thank you! That means a lot! If you don't... I mean I'm probably gonna post a ballbusting thing after it, so don't be too upset.
I just fully believe that if I'm not actually posting the things I want to post and am only doing this to cater to what people want from me, then I shouldn't be doing this at all. That's not what I'm about, it's never been what I'm about. So I'm gonna chase my artistic star. If you're willing to come along for the ride, thank you.
