Job hunting update.

Well, I have at least acquired something part-time to hold me over for however long I need until I can travel further. It's not ideal , the hours are overnight again, but I'll at least keep some personal progress going. I feel kinda guilty that I'm basically still looking for something better and will bounce once something good lines up, either before or after I get a car later this summer. I did sort of imply this might happen because of what I'm looking for. I'm just kinda glad I have something. I got one of those "well we have a full-time position we can give you if you do well at this" type shit, but I'm not holding my breath for that. I have plans to progress on.
I'll still be passively taking coms on and off in the meantime, but I'm going to be busy using some of my free time to get personal things done as fast as possible.
As shitty as loosing that job I loved was, I feel like it was a great motivator to shake me out of the last bit of complacency with certain things as they are. While I think I'm always going to kinda have the mind of a man-child, I'm sick of -functionally- feeling like one.
I feel a bit stressed still, but it's motivating. There was some loss, but this will still be another year of significant growth.

Keep going. Wanting to better yourself in the job market isn't something to feel guilty about. Most jobs will have your position posted online before you even get home from handing in your resignation. Keep your head up, you got this.

Don't feel guilty about using a job as a stepping stone. They wouldn't hesitate to replace you if it would be cheaper. Just do your job and do it well until time comes to leave. Don't burn any bridges, but don't be afraid to cross them.

Good luck bud!! I'm here for you all the way :3

As someone who has a changed position on a job, I know what you mean. Although it is still my first work place, the job is different and it is better than when I first joined. And I understand the man-child part too, very well indeed. All I can say is I hope you get a good job.

Hey man, I know exactly how it feels to be struggling with a career. To be stuck, to be failing, and everything feels like it's going wrong. Let me tell you, it's going to be an uphill battle sometimes, and suck as it may, there's always the possibility of something better. Keep at it, and hopefully you will find your place!
