I need help.
TL;DR:
I'm still unemployed after several months of active job hunting, I'm still nowhere near to getting a job. I need 400$ for rent, bills and food.
If you want (and can) help, please send me money on my PayPal: arekb2222[at]o2.pl
Longer version:
November 30th, 2024 was the last day at my job. I was a worker at cigarette factory for a little more than two years (starting at September 12th, 2022).
The problem is that I live in a relatively small town and finding a job here is quite difficult, to say the least. And that factory basically hires anyone.
I left the job on my own for several reasons. Firstly, it had the minimal wage and I wanted to get a bit more than that, meanwhile the job conditions were abysmal. Secondly, the irregular work schedule took a toll on my health (both physical and mental), as well as my private life. Thirdly, I was a victim of mobbing for several months, (as an example) having my locker door regularly written on, with words containing vulgar words about me and taking me so long to solve that problem because management was "busy". Not to mention two months of untreatable cough when I started working there (the cough was because of overpresent tobacco and chems in the building and it only ceased because I got used to those).
So if anyone wanted to ask if I could return there... I could, but considering what I was going through there, I really don't want to do that.
When it comes to my family, they were the reason why I wanted to get a job and move out from them. So returning to them isn't an option either, same with asking them for help. When most of my life there consisted of mental and physical torture towards me from all the other family members, you can understand why I don't want to even contact them anymore.
And for the topic of job hunting... I wanted to take a vacation from working at December 2024 to... well, rest, but also I justified it by knowing December is a holiday month and thus, many companies simply don't want to hire new people on that month.
So I started job hunting from the very beginning of this year. However, like I've said earlier, finding a job in my town is a difficult task. By profession, I'm an IT technician, but I'd still consider myself "rookie" in this regard. Because of that lack of job experience and also the fact that there aren't many IT-related jobs in my town, finding a job related to it is close to impossible for me.
I was applying to many positions. Massage guy, checkout assistant, supermarket worker, hotel receptionist, gas station worker, car wash worker, shipyard worker, caretaker for elder people... the list goes on. Only a small percentage of those applications resulted in me going to job interviews, where all of them resulted in either not replying to me at specified date or rejecting my application.
I'm the kind of person that firstly tries to solve the problem themselves, then ask their friends for help, then ask publicly for help. And this is the time where I have to ask publicly for help. I have no other choice.
If you can send me some financial help, please do so to my PayPal: arekb2222[at]o2.pl
I can do some stories in return if anyone wants to get those.
If you can't help yourself, I'll be glad if you could spread the word about my current situation.
Thank you for reading.
EDIT: I got enough money to pay my rent for this month, as well as having enough to have some food. Thank you so much for the help <3
