Hey there cuties!
We wanted to wish everyone a Happy Pride Month!!
It took us a bit to get this out but for good reason. We've been working on this banner to really make it a party! This month's banner is a collaboration of love~ the background designed by one of our staff artists
xaidezignz and Fender and Rednef by 
Kygen! We asked staff members that wished to participate to send in art of their characters (with artist approval if they didn't draw it) to be added to the banner to celebrate Fur Affinity being LGBTQIA+ owned and operated. A majority of staff are part of the community and we're proud to shout it out!Artistsβ works featuring staff members done by:

The Frederick Center is an LBGTQ+ Community Center based out of Frederick, MD. The Frederick Center is a 501c3 organization that serves the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer (LGBTQ+) communities. Since its inception, The Frederick Center has grown into a well-respected organization advocating and supporting our community which now proudly bolsters over 500 program events each year, focusing on everything from HIV education and support, to various LGBTQ+ support programs of various age groups, some youth programs to aging with pride (a senior group). It also provides pro bono legal assistance to the LGBTQ+ community. The Frederick Center provides 24/7 support to the community as well.
It also provides a number of social events such as the monthly Pink Drinks, and its largest event- Frederick Pride, providing a festival to over 30,000 attendees which almost makes it Maryland's largest Pride event.
So come on by on the 28th or order something from the [FA shop] and support the site and a great cause!

It's also important to remember that Fender isn't gone at all, rather the two have their own moments. Right now, Rednef is getting their time to shine while the staff is working to change how FA works and looks.
It's no secret that after the torch was passed, more has been completed and the site looks and feels better than ever. And with that, the staff is getting it's long overdue thanks with a simple banner
Rednef, Fender... PALINDROME!!
a palindrome is something that is read exactly the same, forwards or backwards.
words like "civic", "radar", etc are palindromes.
"rednef" would be an ananym for fender, which is when a name is flipped and reads differently, and isn't necessarily a real name.
to add onto that, a word flipped to create another valid word, like "desserts" to create "stressed", would be called an anadrome.
just a friendly lesson, hopefully this isn't taken as me trying to be rude. ^_^;
Let's say that there are some people that aren't fans of certain things when it's put into their front page without consent. I'd like to see what I actually prefer on FA

I understand a change of scenery every now and then, that is fine. Snowpawshaw was very clear. It never got twisted. However, Mobec's comment has veiled queerphobia. Imagine if someone said "I don't like black people." That'd absolutely not be OK, right? You can't control your skin colour / race, nor can you control your sexuality or gender.
This is like a guy going into a gay bar and getting mad that there's so many gays around, and demanding everyone around them stop being gay, and then hating them when they're confused why this person came into THEIR space and demanded THEY make THEM feel more comfortable. lol.

This has always been a queer safe space. Furry may not = LGBTQ but queer people were part of it from the start.

The first Pride, was a riot. The Stonewall riot in June 1969 ... look it up.
And seeing the state of the world, the parts of the world were equal rights never happened or being actively eroded away just now, countries were you can get murdered for being gay or queer, THAT is why still need Pride.
And not just for "being gay", it includes the whole LGBTQIA+ family.
It must be so unfortunate for you that the queer people who made the site are celebrating being queer. You're always welcome to move to another website if queer people upset you so much. Good luck finding a furry website that DOESN'T have a queer presence, though. lol.
If I don't like furries, THEN the fandom is not for me. As simple as that.
If I like furries but for some reason I don't like rainbow people, I'm kind of walking on a minefield (in which I decided to be, and should only affect me) but I should still be welcomed because I'm not doing anything bad.
If I like furries + don't like rainbow people, but I'm also constantly writing "-ist" comments in every rainbow post I see (actual "-ist" comments, different-than-yours opinions are not part of it), then I should NOT be welcome here because I'm being a troll and a massive cunt.
These people are just expressing their thoughts, and asking for a feature that on its own would be good. Hell, they are not even asking for the banner to be changed for everyone... then why are you treating them like they are doing something bad?

And as a ABDL myself, even certain images in my parts of the fandom I block and dont like seeing so I can understand some of your issues with it.
However, a bottle and singular pacifier isn't going to hurt you to look at for a single month, there's nothing NSFW displayed, there is no one forcing it onto you, and no one is hating you for disliking it.

Yes. You can log out and close the site. Easy. No one's forcing you to be here - no "consent" is being violated (and it's incredibly gross that you're hijacking the language of consent to justify being a prude over something completely innocent). If a pacifier and/or a baby bottle genuinely hurts your soul that much, your options are 1) leave, 2) stay mad.
I appreciate the hard work that Furaffinity's staff has put into regaining the trust of a big part of its user base, including them in the staff, including them in things like the site banners, and generally making them feel welcome. If you feel alienated by the fact that you have to share space with people who celebrate Pride in a way you don't understand, you have profoundly misunderstood what Pride is all about, and that's a YOU problem.

Pride is about celebrating sexuality, and kink can be an integral component of sexuality, so we have every right to be here. In fact, you probably know a few people who are babyfurs/diaperfurs but who are not open about it because of a lack of acceptance. We have the right to celebrate alongside you and to be proud of ourselves! Maybe you could do some good by learning more about us and seeing us as people

Just like any other fascination in furry and other adult spaces (because ABDL is not just in furry).
Having an attraction or wanting to have sexual relations with a minor child is NOT par for the course when someone's a babyfur and not even welcome in that community.

I honestly wish I had the ENERGY to be that mad about other people existing. I'd use that energy for more productive things, of course, but still.
I've been an ABDL artist for over ten years now, so I've been called every name in the book - he'll have to be a lot more creative than that to get under my skin.
If some feels "disturbed", they could simply change/add a banner on their profiles. Not a big deal.
Also, interesting to see that only empty accounts are posting inappropriate comments.. fortunately they get suspended asap.
Also again, if they're sock puppet accounts (which really seems like), I'd be happy if the staff could track back to their mains and punish them. Hating behind people's back a minority group is poor and not funny at all. Thats really asshole-ish, unnecessary and shows a weak personality.
7th June is the birthday from my (unfortunately deceased) brother. He was bi, but often curious on his "gayer side". I wish he would be still under us, so that he could celebrate with us together.

Remember, furry isn't a 'fetish', it's a fandom. Not everyone here is for fetish reasons. Don't throw everyone into your kink mindset, because some people just enjoy being fluffy or silly. Some of us are asexual, and that's the pride I love most. We get ousted all the time for not being 'normal', or for not 'wanting a family' or other pressures. Then there's so many who think we're kinksters hiding or something... Just because we might have weird interests...

Why are any kinks on the banner at all? Isnβt this banner able to be seen by any visitor- I.e. minors who use this site?
Thatβs rather inappropriate.
(Note: I know kink is related to pride, but it has its place. Parades, clubs, AD events, etc. My issue is the fact that anyone of any age could see a banner like this.)
If FA wants to be an adults only website then they should just add a warning like E6 does.

I'm glad to hear that the community website is back to normal, otherwise, as always, I overslept a big crash and even almost overslept the local apocalypse, which was eliminated without me =)
For the first time I hear that the community website supports people living with HIV infection.. It is considered shameful to talk about this problem, stigmatization immediately occurs, and even hatred and speculation about how a person faced this problem.
But unfortunately, people face this very often even without using drugs and without non-traditional contacts. Those who maintain traditions are less likely to use the means of protection themselves. And then here it is.. And it's sad that LGBT people have been stigmatized and banned in my country..
In reality, people have to hide their problems because they face hatred.
Once there was a case, I was working at a bowling alley and a couple of guys came, well, noticeably unconventional. But they were very polite and quiet, non-confrontational guests - but I had to literally hold the instructors and bartenders back and calm them down so they wouldn't go fight with these guys. But then when a company of men from the Northern Lands arrived, all in their bodies, with money, they swelled up, began to break equipment, climbed on me with their fists, so the whole brave company of "guys" and the guards also stuck their tongues in the ass and no one tried to fight. But it took me a long time to recover my nerves after this shift.. Only against those who are weak, apparently, there is enough bravado to climb.. Raising children and women with your fists is a kind of traditional norm, apparently (sarcasm)

abdl or agere stuff is not for everyone, you added a tag blacklist system and i would prefer if you further repsect people by not forcing stuff that's most likely blacklisted by users like that
pg or not, if its something people tends to blacklists because it makes them feel uneasy, then its ideal amount is 0

Also just noticed potentially that the ability to view full size banners has been fixed/edited? Haha, realized that there's more furs on this banner than usual on the ends. As well as on other's userpages (I had to do a doubletake on my page even cause of it). So if y'all did anything on that, thanks for that little extra bonus fix :3
