Sounds like the hacker likely attempted to log into your account and triggered a security flag. If you do get your account back I highly recommend you go to your settings and navigate to Security and account access > Apps and sessions > Connected apps

From there disconnect all apps that have authorization to look at your account. All apps except ones tied to logins for websites you may still use such as ko-fi and such. This is just an added blanket of potential security.

Yeah twitter stinks, bsky has been wonderful so far!

Frankly, that hacker's done you a favour. Twitter's been circling the drain for a while, and AI scrapers are running rampant on there.

They scrape blue sky with equal ease unless you set the "cannot view posts unless logged in" setting in configuration

It's always a pain to jump platforms, but with Twitter there's little and less lost at least. I'm sorry this wasn't over yet but more the better for taking the opportunity to leave it altogether.
