Random Thoughts from An Over-Analyzing Fox:
So I was rereading my old copy of GURPS Cliffhangers (Second Edition) for the umpteenth time, hoping for some thoughts on my Burmecian Decopunk world. It suddenly connected with the end of the Robotech: Sentinels, the fifth and final one in the series that I'd read the end of earlier today. My brain suddenly goes into a historical mode of some kind, and I'm soon writing on the setting for World 4. Most recent update is here, if anybody cares to read it. I summarize the events leading from today's ploddingly slow space exploration to the colonization of venus, leading to the main events of the story. This kind of thing hasn't happened to me in a long time! This lead me to revising the date of those events to much later, as a reflection of my sour and cynical view of how slow we're going. It went from Venus of 2351 to Venus of just before the third millennium. Remembering my own flirtations with Warhammer 40K, a new name for the stories and setting suddenly popped into my head. Venus 3K! So yeah, I've renamed the file folder and the desktop shortcut, and I'll upload a safety save soon. This would be a perfect time for my antique PC to suddenly give way to old age! By preparing for it to happen, I prevent it.
