Honestly, report them, that's... not just stupid on their part, but I'm 99% sure thats actionable upon both parties.

Like yeah, I get it that people would want all their friends to get along; but if one of those people decides to make a clear separation between themselves and another person, and you decide to help go against that separation, you're just showing you respect one person more than the other. You don't actually want all your friends to get along, you just want things to be simple for you.

If you truly like that person, you'll respect them enough to not meddle!
