How do you handle advertisement?
As I'm migrating my systems, I forgot to install adblockers in my browser, and when I opened a video I was reminded that ads do exist and they're everywhere. Few seconds later I installed every trick I have in the bag, it's been years I use adblockers and for me internet would be a horrible place to be without them. (Except here on FA, I like to keep up with the ads)
But it occurred to me that this is not the standard way.
So, I'd like to ask! How do you deal with ads? You use adblockers too? Do you sign up for + services? Do you drop anything that has too many ads? Or do you just got used to them?

On a phone without ad blocker, you have merely 10% of your screen that is not ad filled, I had to hunt for the text I tried to read between ads, so I go to ad blockers too
I whitelist FA though as the FA ads here are kind of non intrusive
I did use YouTube's service for awhile, more to support creators than to get rid of ads. Then I really got into Dropout and it was about the same to support them directly as it was to pay for ad free YouTube that I didn't get ads on anyway.
With YouTube we got a family subscription or something that gives us premium. Can't remember what, but we essentially don't pay a thing. But even before then, adblockers were still working on my PC, just not TV and phone. And since we often watch youtube before bed, and were getting some *very* inflammatory ads, it become a bit of a necessity.
On my last phone (Android) I had configured things to make it essentially not get ads. Serves the same as an adblocker. Have yet to make it the same with my new current phone.
But I overall reserve my thanks to adblocks, because I can not imagine living without it, the internet already is a nightmare as it is.
Ads can go kick rocks.
And even that's been kind of getting on my nerves lately on account of Google ads sneaking in stuff that just whaps up a huge full-window board with a brand name.
My phone doesn't have an adblocker, and I found myself just scrolling past and blanking out the ads. I know they are there, but I don't pay any attention to them. Can't even tell you what product they advertise.
I would suggest using adblock to everybody, some sites are unusable without it. You have two sentences of an article and the rest of the screen are ads, ads, ads. YouTube will happily push fake AI videos featuring our prime minister advertising crypto to people.
You're a hero.
I'll pay for sites i find worth supporting, but if they try to block me for blocking the ads, i drop the support.
I use Brave for my phone elsewhere, because ads on mobile in other places are debilitating, battery eaters, and jump scares that try to pop up where you click.
No ads anywhere, even has features of anti-anti-adblocks. And in youtube blocks all ads.
Heck, I even use Firefox and Ublock origin in my cellphone, two years ago I had a Wiko Lenny 2 with Android 5.1, I used the youtube app, and I really hated the ads, each time an ad would play I would just quit the video and re-enter (if the ad was unskipeable) until the ads wouldn't appear anymore.
Anyhow, one day youtube app says "You must update the app to continue using it" (I HATE to update anything) when i tried "There is no version for your cellphone" (basically they said "buy another cellphone!") it was then when I said "HECK IT! and started to use youtube thorough Firefox cellphone. I found it I had a MUCH superior experience, no adds at all thanks to ublock origin.
Now I have another cellphone, but I utterly refuse to use the youtube app, I feel quite remorseful towards it. I keep using firefox even when there are some notifications of "Use youtube app, it's better!" Umm, NO, I feel betrayed.
And I agree, sometimes when I install windows again and I have to access internet without an adblocker I find a heck ton of stuff which makes me think "WTF??"
It does have a neat gear icon that allows me to re-enable ads for a website.
Seems to do a decent job.
iam fine with ads but the moment it got in my way i was done with it and never wanted to deal with it again for i KNEW that it would only get worse
