AC 2025: Journey Home
General
As with the "traveling to" journal, I also produce a "traveling home" journal for much the same reason, to build a reference for scheduling and timepoints, especially since getting home is more important -- there being only one train from Pittsburgh to NYC a day. Today is the farthest I've had to walk to get to the train station (from the Marriott City Center), so previous journals are less than completely useful. One potentially helpful thing is being able to cut through the extension of Frankie Pace Park (diagonally opposite the Doubletree) on a walkway that meets Seventh Avenue where it begins at the foot of a highway offramp). This should save time normally needed to go around Steel Plaza which actually takes one in the opposite direction I need to go for a few minutes. My train departs at 7:30am

Boarding call has already been announced, and there is a full load of passengers lined up down the platform and down through the waiting room (attendants had to control escalator access to keep people from being smashed together at the top)

[Unloading this train at NYP takes awhile. The long-distance Amfleet II coaches do not have motorized doors like the corridor versions, so the crew can only manually open as many doors as they have crewmembers...and this run appeared to be short-handed crew-wise. Come to think of it, I don't recall even seeing an assistant conductor. Since I'm in the front of the lead car, and the exit door is at the opposite end, I'm basically the last or nearly the last one off the train owing to my two suitcases in the overhead rack, and the need to hitch them together to pull both down the aisle]

OP
No problem...I hear quite a few had that happen. Did you have a dealer table?
Yes I was working at
ChakatWindshear's table. I got to go to the Artist's Alley only twice.
