Another year and a half, another journal :P
So a couple things happened.
Let's start with the more positive stuff.
First off, the relocation back to Somerset happened! We moved in October, and that's gone well so far, so excellent stuff there.
Second: I got a second car :D. 2008 Ford Focus Estate in very good condition that I got for shockingly cheap, been meaning to get an estate for LARP transport for years so this is absolutely perfect for it :)
Otherwise generally carrying on as per expected. new job going OK with no complaints, generally in a good spot on most other areas, etc etc.
And now, the bad news. Singular at least, and probably not surprising to some folks.
On Jan 6th while at work, and for no clear reason I can see, my right shoulder dislocated again. Lord knows why, I was just walking out to see my boss on a catchup sorta meeting, taking off a coat and *Pop* there it went. Relocation and recovery has gone fine and I'm back to normal, but that was annoying as hell.
Unrelated news, that's sorta.... sad but good at the same time. LARP.
At the end of the 2nd LARP event of the year for the system I attend, I retired a character that I'd been playing for 13 years, since I started that system in 2012. I've changed a lot since leaving uni, as a person and whatnot, and I just haven't enjoyed playing the guy for like, the last 2 to 3 years. It was time for him to bow out. He got a good send off, and I'm glad I was able to finish his story on my terms.
And so, again to no surprise to anyone, Ferrun has now walked in as my new character. Mage build rather than frontline combat, and weapon and magical item smithing, so very different to force me into a different style of play. Will be great fun, and I've loved playing him at the event he was at. Will see about uploading some photos when I can find them, and other stuff in connection to it.
