So I was playing Guild Wars 2 last night just knocking out some dailys with a random person when he asked if I was a furry. I guess playing as a Char was a dead giveaway. I was honest and told him I was, expecting the usual "Eww a furry" response followed by the same lame insults I've heard for the last three decades (yes I am old).

Instead we had a rather nice conversation where I answered some questions about the fandom and at one point we where talking about my in game character, which if you're unfamiliar looks like what happens when particularly angry khajit has a wild night a demon, and he said something to the effect of: "I'm not a furry but I'd smash."

Oh no my naive friend, you are a furry. You just don't know it yet. But the seed has been planted. You'll be one of us soon enough.
