Officially Lego does have specified numbers attributed to every single piece in existence, like their ID. So that may help in finding very specific pieces you're looking for

yeah I looked up "classic space lego instructions" and found a site called ToysPeriod
it has a TON of ads, however, it has instructions and a break down of the pieces, with the part numbers

Bricklink is the biggest online used piece seller with thousands of sellers, it is a little of a pain cause if the person dont have all the pieces you want you might have to make multi orders. its way better then ebay for most things except maybe for complete sets.

You can order the parts directly from LEGO if you have the part numbers in the building instructions.

Just getting back into LEGO after being away from it for 30+ years. I had a couple of small Classic sets I kept under my desk at work to use during the evenings, waiting for programs to compile (1 hour plus). Now that I'm retired I've bought a couple of newer Classic kits (in the brick-shaped cases) but I don't seem to have time to get to them.

im the same way alot of the time but you gotta like force yourself away and start messing with them and then its fun, with other if possible

Oddly, of the many types of childhood construction toys, I never got deeply into LEGO. Sorry, nothing here. But I will keep an eye out for such things.

At one point in my life, I had twenty or more pounds of LEGO, comprising roughly 30 set over a span of 10 years.

I (F***ing Stupidly) traded most of them for a three gallon bucket of Constructs. I have since spent several times what the whole aglomerated mass of plastic was worth new trying to pick up the sets I used to own, before I proved myself an F-wit.

I loved constructs, I still have mine ^.^

I mean, I have several old Lego Space, City, and even Knights manuals, and could even manage to part with the (Mostly) complete Forestmens Hideout set.

At one point I had two of Set #1682 (LEGO Town: Space Shuttle Launch) But I gave one to the East Coast Nephews, and I think they ate it.

cool, I sold a large chunk of my legos when they started taking over. I took most of the minifigs and I thought a chunk of the specific old pieces. However I might have been wrong. Also I cant find my instructions I know I had those

Man I freaking LOVE the 80s-90s Space Legos. I loved the helmets on the lego men, the robot lego man, the little console bits and that new box storage w/ the magnet pieces.

I went through a whole Garage sale phase and got rid of mine. Even the space base set. Along with the underwater set & ice base series.

yeah that is why I'm just buying them from parts, bricklink is hard but usable
