Bluntly, this was always the plan. The bill about debanking states "people who are following the law" can't be punished, and is in reference to people who suffered consequences for the January 6th coup attempt.

The people sponsoring that bill, and for that matter this bill, have long wanted to make adult content illegal, which gives them an out. I'll be contacting my reps but quite frankly too many people sat out in 2016 and 2024 figuring it wouldn't be a big deal.

So which part of the bill are you mad at exactly? I read it, alot of it is like against gambling/loot boxes, wanting in game parental controls be in most if not websites and programs. Minor shouldn't see porn and that sort of thing. I think it more parent issue, and this bill seems to be trying to make sure the tools are in place for them to use if they wish too. This is an issue that falls more on the parents than our government, we don't need to waste tax dollars on an organization that could be easily done by individuals setting parental controls on their wi-fi network and monitoring their child's online habits.

If this is the issue with passing the Senate, than we'd have to get it to the House. Believe it or not they tried to pass a KOSA Bill before in the senate, but the House didn't do anything about it when it showed up. I do hope for a repeat of this.
