Nine Years, What's Next? (Update 7-28-25)
First a reminder to myself to JUST KEEP MAKING THINGS!
And now the rest.
9 Years
A big thank you to everyone for 9 years of support~ The anniversary actually passed much earlier in the month but I figured it would make more sense to line it up with my birthday. I have a lot of jumbled thoughts on this, but the short of it is that I'm very grateful to have this space. People here have been unbelievably kind and supportive and I definitely wouldn't have acheived this much growth as an artist and a person without you all. This is an important place to me and I don't intend to give it up~
I'm currently mulling some kinda thank you series once my big projects are at a stopping point--maybe a big raffle YCH and some other limited YCH to try and get some specific people some nice art. I've now surpassed 2100 watchers which is nuts, I really feel like I need to do something to celebrate all the milestones. If you have any suggestions or want to contact me about something, there's both the box and notes n all that of course~
Current Projects and Timeline
I am still deep in the asset mines, but approaching big milestones at the same time. There's a lot of uncertainty in this environment at the moment but I just want to make it clear that I intend on finishing and releasing these games regardless of the circumstances. The mouse game will be a free full release, and the Demo for Pandacam will also be free. If you'd like to support me with a tip there will always be a way to do so even if I have to be a bit sneaky about it.
In any case, the current order of releases is looking like this:
-First the mouse game, which will be a free, fully finished game. I am currently in the process of animating character sprites, after which development will significantly accelerate as I'll actually have enough functional assets to get to coding. There is a considerable amount of hand drawn animation involved (the player sprite is currently at somewhere over 300 unique frames, and there's another 150-200 or so to go, not counting the outfit variants of some of them) but much less that needs doing on the coding side. I'm honestly really excited to get there and see all this work come to life. I do plan on releasing some early builds for people to play around with on Substar, and I'll also be posting previews here for everyone else to get an idea of what it's all about.
-Second is the Pandacam demo: Currently I'm in the process of assembling assets for the test build, most of the animation is done and I'm largely doing secondary stuff for Minigames. I probably wont release early builds of this though I will be doing previews and WIP here and on Substar.
-Third is much more nebulous, but I am planning on returning to Wayward Butterfly with a completely redeveloped demo once these two are out of the way. I've been really surprised by the interest people have had in what exists already and I definitely want to see this one through. I really jumped into the deep end with that one and didn't quite have the time and resources I needed to get it going. A signifcant amount of the work I'm doing on the mouse game will be used as a framework for Wayward so I can get it rebuilt and moving much more quickly development wise.
-Once the 2 current projects are done I plan on doing a bunch of much smaller games, things like little Minigame collections or VN style interactive animations. I eventually do want to make my initial plan of semi-monthly sketchgames a reality, maybe starting with one game every 2-3 months. These would all be free of course, though I'd like to offer some YCH slots for them as well~
In short, there's a lot to do, but I'm very excited to show it all off and pleased with my progress!

I will still be posting at least once a week here, though those posts will speed up as I start putting out previews for the projects. To be honest I feel like I hit a wall with illustration until just recently, which is why I've been experimenting so much. The reception of that pic with Nev was really surprising to me and very pleasing considering how much I enjoyed the process of that one. You can expect I'll be doing pics progressing that style for a while, though still experimenting with some different techniques and brushes. I might cut back on backgrounds for a bit as I've been struggling with them, expect some simpler paints or more abstract backdrops for a while. I'm not sure what the next theme will be, I do want to make some more beach pics, but I've also felt a desire to do some more Fantasy setting stuff. I might do some sci-fi themed pics as well or wrap that into the Halloween Series when the time comes.
I'm still open to art trades at the moment so if you're interested let me know~ In any case, thanks as always to everyone who watches, faves, comments, or just takes a look at my work. I really appreciate it! Here's to a very big year 10!

OP
I'd be happy to~ It's the beginning of a new month so I'll be busy with Sub Sketches for a bit, so if you want to send a note and throw some ideas around it'd be a good time to do so. :>
