Oh you gotta be kidding me, that's REALLY unfortunate.

In Spring 2023 they had commissioned me, but I've struggled delivering and had offered a refund a few times to which they declined. I've felt bad about it since them turning down the first offer to refund the work since 100usd is no small amount of money for normal people.

I still feel bad about not having completed the work and it remains the only paid-with-direct-obligation piece on my 2 years+ running commission list (well aside from my existing Patreon/Subscribestar backlog which similarly has been near impossible to work on). Most of this time has been me struggling with health, I even got like a 40% sketch done and abandoned it because I wasn't happy with how it had come out. I hope they can figure their shit out soon, I have them on Discord still.

I guess if you have had charges reversed, very sorry, hope that isn't somehow my fault for putting a bad taste in their mouth.

Yeah really, really unfortunate because we have had good, reasonable communication this whole time. Two years ago things didn't seem (to me) to be out of the ordinary, but the last two years has been pretty crazy in the world. I guess they developed a problem.

I kinda recognize this guy, but I was wondering if this type of journal still falls under FA's callout rules? I sure hope there must be an exception to someone who's genuinely being a scumbag

I think people must be warned about it so they won't get scummed, even if there will be contacts leak of the scummer.

Believe me... they will remove your journal sadly.
Unless the rules have changed, I already did the same thing in the past to warn against a toxic furry... and saw some other users doing it... as long as we can see the scammer's username, avatar, or a link to be redirected to their account, FA won't allow that kind of journal. You could do that only on BlueSky (or Twitter if you prefer) or any other social media. But I won't give more than a week to your journal, sadly.

Yes, but there are still their username, and even avatar and link to their FA account, so FA staff won't accept that and remove the journal probably.

Don't get me wrong, I totally understand your journal and thank you for the warning, personally... but it's just how FA works.

doesnt matter if bad or not, i can understand the logic of people not wanting to harasses another solely on the claim of someone else's word, worst case we would end up with stuff as bad as witch hunts

It always sucks to see it happen and I always found it.. weird how scammers like THIS exist because they don't get money out of this.
