Malaise is an emotional comfort character for me. She's physician with extra-sensory abilities that allow her experience another's senses, which she uses to diagnose, treat and validate patients. She's very warm and empathetic and is the sort of friend who tries to give you encouraging but validating reminders. I haven't explored this side of her too much yet, but she also uses her powers to experience and enjoy what her partners are feeling as well! She's a necromancer who uses spirits to aid her in combat, but is also quite physical herself, having a lot of things that proc on her taking damage. Stemming from this, she's also a bit of a masochist, reveling in the pain.
In general she's not afraid of being casually morbid, but she's a bit snarky in that lonely sort of way. Don't have an exact ref, but in combat she has a very ritualistic looking, scant set of armored robes themed after the pokemon giratina, and uses a monk spade as a weapon. One of her trademarks in combat is planting her weapon in the ground and holding her arms out, goading enemies to hit her.
