10 Years on FA – My Journey and Reflections
a month ago
Time flies faster than we realize. Before I knew it, it’s already been 10 years since I created my FA account.
Back then, my goal was simply to have fun exploring my fantasies and ideas through characters I had adopted or commissioned from various artists.
At the time, I never planned to officially become a furry. It was a friend of mine, already in the community and into certain kinks, who opened that door for me. Discovering the commission system was a turning point—I started bringing my more daring ideas to life. Before that, I would browse kink content on DeviantArt or Pixiv without really understanding how the whole thing worked. Once I had my first credit card… well, that’s when the fun truly began.
**Starting Out: Between Shyness and a Double Identity**
When I first made my account, I was nervous and shy about the kind of content I was posting. Honestly, I felt ashamed.
That’s why I created a second account, Vamoris, mostly for SFW and non-kink content. My idea was to keep my “normal” creations separate from my fetish content.
Eventually, Vamoris went inactive for over 5 years. I decided to merge everything into my main account, nosferatu16, to show my true self.
Today, I’m no longer ashamed of what I create. I’m in my thirties now, I have a supportive community, and I enjoy blending fetish content with more classic, story-driven works on a single account. That’s where I have the most watchers, and that’s where I want to share my personality.
**My Audience and My Frustrations**
The frustrating part is that most of my audience mainly focuses on my fetish creations. But I also enjoy sharing more “normal” ideas—stories filled with emotions, staging, and real narrative depth. My characters aren’t just desire objects without personality.
I want people to see their depth, even if that means taking the risk of losing part of my audience. Sometimes I wonder if I should have kept my two accounts separate… but I stand by my choice for diversity in content.
I don’t want to fall into the ego-trip of posting the same character over and over just to glorify myself. I like to switch things up, mixing my sensual ideas with my storytelling ambitions.
**Feedback That Keeps Me Going**
Thankfully, I often get constructive comments telling me I bring my characters to life and make them memorable.
That means a lot to me and boosts my confidence. And if my English isn’t perfect, just know that a few years ago it was much worse. I used Google Translate for everything. Now, I can write on my own, even if I still use a translator for big projects to save time.
**Simone, My Anima**
Let’s talk about Simone, my fursona… The first five years with her were quite a mess.
At first, I couldn’t decide between a dragon or a shark (sharks have been my favorite animal since I was a kid). She was originally meant to be the girlfriend of my other fursona, Saber (a sergal and my very first). But eventually, I realized she actually represented me better than Saber—even though I’m male in real life.
That’s when I started wondering if I might be trans. After years of questioning, I finally understood that Simone is my anima: my feminine side, the one that lets me express my true personality without shame.
I don’t consider myself trans (at least for now). I just see myself as someone with low self-esteem who’s learning to know himself better. Simone allows me to express certain desires more freely… except the weight gain part, which is already present enough in my real life. X’D
(Funny fact: I still have no idea why I named her Simone when my real name is Simon.)
**The Good and Bad Sides of Popularity**
Over the years, I’ve met some amazing people, both online and in real life. But let’s be honest: most of the people who reach out to me are… bots, scammers, creeps, or overly idolizing fans.
That’s the risk when you gain a bit of popularity, especially with erotic content—you attract people who just want sexual RP. As a result, I often end up withdrawing or talking to them out of politeness rather than interest.
Thankfully, I still have a small circle of friends I trust, with whom I talk occasionally, even if I often stay in my own little bubble.
**Looking Ahead**
I plan to keep posting as long as I can afford to commission art. The future will decide, especially since I was supposed to move out of my parents’ house two years ago… but the housing crisis hit, and prices in my area skyrocketed, so I stayed.
I’d like to seriously get into drawing one day to save on commissions. I might also start a Patreon in the future, but only for larger projects like comics—if people are willing to support me when the time comes.
I also plan to use ChatGPT to help refine and correct my big texts. Not to replace my ideas, but to format them better and make them more readable. I know it’s a controversial tool, but as long as my universe, ideas, and concepts remain mine, AI will only be my assistant, not my replacement.
**A Devouring Passion**
I’ve created a ton of characters over the years—probably too many (thanks, pandemic, and my adoption spree).
Expect to see plenty of pig and cow characters on my account in the future—they’re my favorite species to represent weight gain. X’D
I honestly didn’t expect to write this much… but here it is: my journey on FA and what’s coming next.
Thank you so much for supporting me, discovering my work, and appreciating what I do. I hope we’ll be here together for another 10 years!
(P.S. Sorry for the lack of new uploads lately, but something is coming soon! I’ve had a new work schedule that messed up my sleep cycle, some vacation time, and a small story I’m trying to finish. Please be patient, my friends.)

glad to see you've been on the block and still kicking! hope to see more! and sorry if i've been too much. but i got a question, will you do headcanon voices for your ocs? it would be awesome!

I admit I've considered this, but I don't know how, or if it's relevant, especially since I don't do animation, but it would be fun to be able to do it, having brief ideas of voices for certain ocs.

you don't need to do animation, you could put an image of the character, a single colored background, and the voice actor's name and who they would be playing!

I just don't know where to look for voice actors on the internet, unless you're just talking to me about looking for the one that best matches on YouTube?

i think you should look up "voice headcanons" on some games, that might help with knowing what im trying to say

Okay, i Will try to check that soon or later.

Has been a long journey indeed. Hope to see them piggies and cows. I love characters based on animals that represent "fatness"

Of course, you might continue to see other cows and pigs, not to mention seeing your pigs with my pigs one day. XP
