Never seen furries in public where I live, but I knew some back in high school. People would bark at them and act like animals around them though, which i always found it weird that they would do that.

I saw a fun scene at a local comic con a couple weeks ago. A pair of furries in partial suits came by to watch a D&D one-shot I was taking part in. The DM from a local game store didn't see them because the DM was too busy DMing. I think he caught them out of the corner of his eye, though, because he turned, turned back to the game, turned back again to look at them properly, and shrieked. One of them just waved and the players all broke out laughing. It was great.

I see other furs publicly out and about at my local mall sometimes. I have yet to say anything to them, since I work at one of the malls tennants, ya know?

Well MfM is coming up this weekend so that could be the case.. I know stepember first weekend is furry migration so too soon for that. Always interesting to meet furs in the wild there some in my town..

Nice! A nice little highlight to a day.

In March this year I was dining at a hotel's little restaurant and our server had a furry pin badge on his employee lanyard. I complimented it and he said no one had ever recognized or mentioned the furry pin before. It was a nice, short encounter.
