Day After B-Day, Day Before New Year...

Well. another birthday has come and gone... Sammy and I had a quiet celebration with just us. The snow the day before and the iffy road conditions made it virtually impossible to do anything with friends, so we stayed at home. Sammy got me a kind of motorcycle hoodie to wear under my jacket for winter rides and an iPod Touch. Now I've gotta figure out what apps I might want...
Today, it's time to reflect on the year past and make those infamous New Year's resolutions... Here are mine:
1. Spend more time at the gym... A lot more... Yeah, I currently go a couple times a week and no, I'm not looking to be the next Mr. Olympia. I just want to drop a few pounds and work more on cardio. Oh, and try to be there when Sammy goes...
2. Take some Krav Maga classes. I used to instruct unarmed combat (commonly referred to as "hand-to-gland combat") and want to find out what's different (if anything).
See? Simple... Now I've just got to do 'em!!!

Krav Maga is basically a hand-to-hand combat system used by the Israeli Defense Forces. It's not a "traditional" martial art in that there are no belts or uniforms (like a gi), nor are the instructors masters, senseis, or sabunims. From what I know and have been exposed to, it closely resembles what we taught in the US military, but we'll see...
