He was a genius, the Mac computers are the best, I'm so proud to have my tow years old MacBook Pro, it's a good laptop to do my art on it.

Me too. I work in the microprocessor industry, and Jobs was always a larger-than-life figure. His vision was to invent the future. He succeeded.

The last product he'll be remembered for is the Deathgrip Iphone. R.I.P.

Mr. Jobs had a vision outside the standard, he wanted to create future products and technology. He will indeed be missed. =+{

Yup. Something I found out today was he was so intent on making the Apple customer experience a good one, he personally designed the sleek wooden tables used to display products in Apple stores. That is attention to detail...

Mr. jobs was a very amazing person, but mainly at marketing. I'm impressed he worked s long, it didnt make me think he was this bad off. That in itself is impressive.

Some pundit called him the modern day Edison. Edison had a knack for bringing together brilliant people, then marketing the products they conceived... A bit of a reach maybe, but far wrong... When I first heard he had pancreatic cancer a few years ago, I knew it was going to be curtains (I believe I read once that pancreatic cancer has about a 98% mortality rate). I was surprised he lasted as long as he did, but you're right, he did a good job in hiding it...

I first learned of the news when I turned on my home computer and read the online news. While I haven't owned some of the latest stuff he deveoped, such as an iPod, I respect that he used to work hard to succeed and to change technology. Quite a shock out of my skin about reading his death, even though we've known he had cancer and had to retire from Apple.

One of the things we should remember -- I being a cartoon and animation fan -- is his involvment with the computer effects wing of Lucasfilm company that would turn into Disney's CG parnter, Pixar Animation Studios.

Yeah, he was a driving force for Pixar. Kinda like when Jim Henson passed... The creator may be gone but the genius will live on...

Even though I'm a PC user, I will not diss the death of Steve Jobs.

Because he will and always will be a fighter to the eyes of everyone.

I was an early Apple adopter. I had (or have) everything. An Apple II, Apple Iic, a couple "beige box" Macs (I used to call them "the Hummers" because of the sound they made booting the OS from disk), a Powerbook, a Mac Mini (Sammy's computer), a Macbook Pro, iMac (which I'm using for this), Airport Express, an Airport Extreme, a Time Machine, iPods, and iPad... I had my share of PCs too, but after building and using many, many PCs, I came back to Mac for the graphics and the simplicity of use.

You are absolutely right about him being a fighter. It takes a fighter to get fired from the company you founded, get rehired when it looked as if Apple was circling the drain, bring it back from the brink and make it one of the most well respected firms in the country. I'm sure the folks in Cupertino will miss his leadership.

He will be remembered for inventing computers, the Apple, iPods, an OS that never gets infected, and other things that other people invented.
