Home from the outpatient proceedure, safe, sound and a tad sore.
I am now the proud owner and operator of a PleurX catheter, so no more twice weekly trips to the hospital for paracentesis.
Onwards and upwards! :D.

I spent eight days in my favorite hospital (I was born there) about ten years ago. I had my appendix out and the morphine messed with my gut big time. I worked there in the early 1970s as a volunteer; the food was excellent. After the appendectomy all the food was toxically salty but otherwise tasteless. It wasn't just me; the other patients hated it, too. An old meme came to life...
