Three questions
Do you feel as though you have been stuck in a box so long, as long as you remember, that you don’t even know what shape you really are? Maybe you were meant to be a sphere or a triangular prism.
Do you feel as though you’re cursed? That you’re destined to repeat the sins of your forebears? How do you know what’s genetic and what’s not?
Do you feel like you’re not taken seriously when you ought to be? Do you feel people have preconceived notions of ‘this type of thing is inherently unserious, it can’t say anything meaningful’? Do you think that’s a fair way to think?
BEFORE COMMENTING:
Instead of thinking about me, think about you! Relate to me. What do you tell yourself, or think about yourself? Do you REALLY think it’s true? That would mean a lot more to me than a ‘you’re great’ or ‘that’s not true’ type comment.

2nd question: No, I'm actually somewhat comforted by the fact that billions of others have felt what I have felt, and do.
3rd question: Sort of, but I think "ought to be", for me at least, is a slippery slope. It's tempting to consort with others that have witnessed very little of your own experiences, whether it be that they may "validate" your viewpoint, or provide better social gratification for your expression. However, this prospect of greater validation and gratification carries with it the potentiality that one could be misunderstood.
I think what you said about #2 is a salient point. My thoughts on #2 are very specific to me, but once I applied empathy and tried to put myself in the context of the person I’m referring to, it does make you understand better, huh?
2. I've never believed in sins of the past. Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, 2000 year old writers kind of told me the same problem repeat themselves for eternity. Its something I've accepted.
3. Yes, though its more through my work as an engineer. I fight often with more senior guys on how things should be done. Outside of that. I try not to take life seriously. I'm not afraid of poking fun at myself.
I think on 2, just cause things were, doesnt mean they’ll always be, or at least so I hope.
No, I believe in my own freedom.
Sometimes, I try to surround myself with people who are on the same wavelength.
A little, not exactly genetic but from the place I was born. Ever since I moved countries I feel more and more like me and everyone from my home country are seen and treated like cockroaches and it really sucks. It's something I can't remove from my self, but at the same time I don't hate it. It's just that things are really complicated.
Oh absolutely, but I had expected to meet more people willing to say that to my face. Instead, I've met people as excited about the things I like, taking them as seriously and sometimes even more(!!), and since it was unexpected I'm very happy about that.
Happy for your other two answers tho!
