So, the power is out in half of my apartment. Possibly because I plugged in a portable air conditioner (there's a possibility that this would have happened anyway, but I wouldn't put money on it). Fortunately there's still lights in the living room and kitchen, and the fridge is still getting power, but nothing is going to my bedroom, which is the only convenient place to set up my laptop. Also a critical piece of my apartment's internet equipment is bolted to the wall in the affected part of the building, so I'm having to post this from my phone. And I can't find, like, a fuse box or anything so I don't know how to fix it myself. And the office where I'd go to ask about this isn't open until Monday. All this is to say I probably won't be available at least until then. Possibly longer if it's not a simple fix.
