Things are cooling down

After the scare my dad gave us before of leaving in the morning when we thought he was suicidal, my mom gave him one hell of a talking to. Turns out he didn't take a gun with him like we thought. He just hid the gun because we thought we were going to take them all away. The ones I took have since been returned.

Talking about it with my younger stepbrother seems to have really helped. And my dad is trying to cut back on alcohol. But he's switching to smoking weed more instead. Thankfully when he's high on weed, he's a lot mellower than when he drinks. It's not a great idea to replace one bad habit with another. But if it helps him drink less, it works.

Oh but they were going to take them all away- and them them to furvert so he can hide them under the house. What a twist! Oh great... Weed that's productive... Actually that might be a good idea given the circumstances. He might spend more time as a vegetable and less as his destructive self. Maybe... Depends on the weed I suppose... I guess being comatose counts as a hobby??? The Jamaican music might get annoying after awhile and in hear Rastafarian hats are expensive but then again so is weed unless you grow it. Or your dead becomes willy nelson

My dad actually has really good taste in music, if you can believe it. His collection is extensive. But yeah, as long as the weed keeps him mellow, thinks should be less chaotic. He's also not normally crazy with his guns. Neither of us have bothered to do any shooting in years.
