Out a bit longer...and maybe a bit of a vent...

My mom was diagnosed with colon cancer. She had surgery last week to try and remove the tumor but once they got in there and realized how big it actually was and how much it spread, they determined that they couldn't remove it safely. Instead they gave her a colostomy bag to save her life and allow her to go through chemo to shrink the tumor so they can remove it later.
So I'm still away from home and my computer for awhile. I'm helping my mom get used to taking care of her colostomy bag at home and driving her back and forth for appointments while she is still healing from surgery.
I can't wait to get back to drawing but I am thankful I can be there for my mom. Especially since it's only been a year and a half since losing my dad. But my mom is one hell of a fighter and she's determined to get through this.
Also if anyone has any tips or tricks for colostomy bags, I'd love to hear them!

I don't have any tips for colostomy bags, I just wanted to say it's a very noble thing for you to do, good luck and look after yourself too 💛

I appreciate that. Trying to take care of myself too. Got to spend the day with my husband who is keeping our household running while I am gone. It really boosted my spirits to see him ♥

You're an amazing person doing so much for your mom like this. I wish I had more to offer than good luck, but I'll be thinking of both of you!

Thank you. It's just what I have to do ♥ I have a sibling but she has a young baby and it's hard for her to travel because her husband sucks.
