Surgery success!!
I'm a little less than 24hrs post top surgery, and all things considered, i feel great!!
Very sore, obviously, and my range of motion is very limited, but I have a great support network and my mate taking care of me. ♡♡♡
I'm following my care instructions to the letter, and it's looking like I'll be able to get these drains out as scheduled in a week's time! Very exciting.
Still can't believe i finally did it! I'd been imagining what my flat chest would look like for years, and now it matches how I've always pictured myself. I'll cry happy tears about it later, I'm sure lol ♡♡♡

I don't know how much info your doc gave you, but mine wasn't enough, I had to turn to online for post op care tips.
I'm so happy for you, I know you'll burst with joy when seeing the bandages off and healing progress! Trans joy! 😘🥰🏳️⚧️❤️
Post-op is tomorrow, fingers crossed I can get these drains out. The healing is going well, i think, by the amount that things itch lol
It's amazing already, i keep looking down at the chest wrap like huh they're really gone!! Immediately it was such relief to have them gone, I'm so proud of myself for getting this done! All the discomfort I'm dealing with now, I know I'll get back in joy for the rest of my life! ♡♡♡♡
The discomfort during healing was rough for me as I don't like being uncomfortable, but I had a huge support network taking care of me every step of the way.
One of my drains twinged a nerve on the way out, and it was what I can only describe as the worst pain of my adult life, but I'd go through it again if I had to.
Much love brother!
I did a few years of T before getting surgery, and at first I felt comfortable enough ignoring my dysphoria to wear a swimsuit, but when I could pass less and less, I just stopped swimming or going to the beach altogether. Which is sad, that's one of my favorite ways to exercise! A shared tale -- I'm so happy for you havin shirtless summer -- next year that'll be me too! ^w^
Got the drains out a few days ago!! And the difference in pain was IMMEDIATE. Luckily no nerves hit when they came out, it was over super quick. And my pain's been incredibly manageable since! My body definitely lets me know when I'm overdoing it, though. Hard to believe it's only been like 10 days!
Much love!!
Thank goodness you didn't get the drain pain! Once it's healed keep on top of your massages of the scar tissue! ^^ 🩵🤍🩷
(Grats!)
Thanks Furx!! ♡♡♡
My surgeon was a little apprehensive, she told me, "cause of your skin tone your scars are probs gonna be pretty visible..." but i like that!! I think it's cool and yes exactly!! A source of euphoria!!
Really makes me feel like a self made man!!
I'm considering some flower language tattoos down the line for sure, but I'm gonna enjoy the scars as they are for a while too! ^^
(Also so cool seeing all the other folks coming outta the woodwork whenever someone posts about their ops, I'm sure if you do pose questions you'll get about ten answers lmao)
Tomorrow is my post op, so fingers crossed i can get them out and sleep more comfortably!!
Just remember to take it as easy as you can for as long as you need to give it as much time to heal as it needs to!
Getting a LOT of sleep, as it's hard to concentrate on things anyway. Recovery is going according to plan so far! Tomorrow is my post-op and fingers crossed I can get these drains out, as they're the source of the most discomfort.
Promise I'll continue to take it super easy, following my dr instructions to the letter! o7
Things seem to be going really smooth so far! Not complaining about that in the slightest! ♡♡♡
I hope you've been well and have had a good summer!!
I'M so happy it's finally done!!! Now it's just relaxing recovery time. The hardest part is over.
My post-op is tomorrow, the first real look under these bandages (and hopefully, if all's well, the drains out!). So I'm nervous but excited!! My chest already feels so much more *mine*, yknow?
The healing is slow and uncomfortable, but so worth it!! ♡♡♡♡♡
Good luck with the post op too! I understand completely x,°D On some occasions people can get sinking/bruising that will go away with time, fortunately in my case there was none of that so it was a nice reveal x,°D
It is funny cause I start to remember when you mention it, like how long it took. The good news is it does not take very long after that for it to feel like the healing process was nothing I°D
