WHEN did anthro sharks get ears?

Did a quick E621 search: order:id. 18 years ago (i.e. 2002) there didn't seem to be a lot of anthro sharks with ears on them.
I've always wondered WHEN or which year did ears started appearing on sharks.

They were a very popular Shark for a While
Somebody wanted to give a Shark Earrings, and just decided to give em ears for said earrings. And it just caught on.
Plus some people use Sharks as Pseudo Dragons.
