Whoa, I'm A Stupid Genius

"But I can't listen to music very often, it affects my nerves. I want to say sweet, silly things, and pat the little heads of people who, living in a filthy hell, can create such beauty. These days, one can't pat anyone on the head nowadays, they might bite your hand off. Hence, you have to beat people's little heads, beat mercilessly, although ideally we are against doing any violence to people. Hm -what a devillishly difficult job!" -Lenin commenting on Beethoven's Appassionata.
“It is obvious that art cannot teach anyone anything, since in four thousand years humanity has learnt nothing at all. We should long ago have become angels had we been capable of paying attention to the experience of art, and allowing ourselves to be changed in accordance with the ideals it expresses. Art only has the capacity, through shock and catharsis, to make the human soul receptive to good. It’s ridiculous to imagine that people can be taught to be good…Art can only give food – a jolt – the occasion – for psychical experience.” ― Andrei Tarkovsky
"You say, 'The LORD's way is not fair!' Hear now, house of Israel: Is it my way that is unfair, or rather, are not your ways unfair?" -Ezekiel 18:25.Shalom:
I was going over the plot structure of a yet to be shared story I've been working on for a while (and what I believe is my Magnum Opus). And it is one of those works I will die trying to get published since I feel it's more of a story that needs to get out there more than I want it to. As such, I started to wonder which genres they'd put it under: I see tragedy, romance, religion, philosophy, war, and slice-of-life as fitting works. But then I wondered if it would fit under the genre of noir. Why not? It's pre-1960s though it over the course carries on past into the later years of the 20th century but not as much as the early years. MC has fedora, trenchcoat, is by all means what appears to be a lone wolf, has his flaws, and has a disturbing back ground. Female MC likewise has a disturbing past, foreign ancestry, and tries to win over the MC. All the while the duo are working together in hopes of solving a mystery.
It'd fit wouldn't it?
Except, not really.
The story doesn't exactly begin with the MC nor is the female character a side character; both really are equally the same personification of a MC just as two characters with different perspectives and sexes. The story is linear for almost the entirety with only one notably obvious exception; so no flash backs or anything of the like. It's realistic, so no dramatic flair (though, what that means to the audience is up for debate) even during the war parts. They don't have mindsets like most noir characters have. Their morals vary greatly. There's a lot more optimism (again, debatable to certain readers) than is usual. It doesn't end like most noir stories. And the mystery is not some shady secret, illegal act or theft, but rather a more deep one: what is the meaning of everything? Life, love, hatred, murder, freedom, slavery, right, wrong, good, evil, and whether or not there is/do they require a powerful force (IE God).
If I had to simply put, I think I've invented a whole new genre.
Anti-noir.
I'm gonna get that patented when I publish this novel.

FA+

Heck yeah!
Also, this intrigues me. A new genre? If/when you share a sample I just might be tempted to write something in that space, if you don't mind ofc (always experimenting!). It also reminds me of a novella I have in the works that I'm gonna try to write over the course of "new novel" November. Exciting things coming this Fall!
Well, technically I have shared it: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/56348209/
But, all that you'll see is all that I have ever written (I mean, ever; I've not written on paper, either pen or typewriter, or on digital docs) since. Everything else has since been in my head slowly being woven; there are bits I haven't been able to completely figure out.
In that space? As in add to it or am I being retarded again?
Of course, I'd like to share it; I do have a doc which has most of an outline of the plot so far, if you'd like to get an idea. And do feel free to do with whatever you so please (in so far as it is virtuous). Plus, I still owe you anyhow.
Oh boy! I look forward to it.
And yes, I ment write something in that genre. (I apologise if I occasionally confuse you, I've been told I have a strange speech pattern.)
And I also have a different story I'm experimenting on (only a few pages so far) that I'd like some feedback on to see if it's doing what I want, if you'd be willing.
Nah, it's alright; sometimes people type plain English and I interpret them wrong. Other times I just misread their words. Go ahead, better get this genre hitting the ground running. [*warps arm around you, like that one Buzz Lightyear and Woody meme* We're gonna be the best duo since Virgil and Dante.]/hj
Shoot; been a bit uninspired so I feel down to help others.
Still in longhand, so I'm gonna spend tonight transcribing it and note it first thing in the morning!
Okay! I'm just gonna doomscroll Youtube and see what inspires me first.
Best wishes, thoughts and prayers, good luck, good fortune, whatever exact phrasing you'd prefer, on the endeavor. :)

But thank you for bringing this to my attention; I need to make sure I don't accidentally forget other genres.
