Reading The Fox Wife by Yangsze Choo, and the Female Protagonist has introduced herself by name finally.
Now, I know from the back cover that Her personal name is Snow, and that she is a real Fox. But I have to groan at the reveal...
Now, as was stated, her Personal Name is Snow, and given that she is being formal in Chinese, the Mandarin is pronunciation is Xue'er.
Her choice for Family Name was Hu, which when written one way is the word for Fox, which she states she finds rather humorous.
And finally, there is the fact that in much of Asia the Family name comes first, or so I have been assured.
Which means she is Hu Xue'er!
Which is enough for me for one evening!
