Regarding Blocking

General
This shit gets on my nerves.
If you block for a petty reason, you are an asshole, plain and simple, no two ways about it. If you're mad at me for something, the intelligent, level-headed response would be to come and talk to me about it, instead of being petty and blocking me behind my back, leaving me wondering what i could have done, especially if I rarely or never talk to you.
This serves another purpose as well. *If* I've been engaging in bad behavior that could be damaging to others, you owe it to your fellow furs to tell me so that I can knock it off. Because I have autism and that causes my social awareness to be a bit fucked up. I don't like to use my disability as an excuse, but when people block me at random, I feel like I have no other choice. I am sorry if that's the case, but if no one tells me about it, I may not be aware it's happening.
Don't block me before having a civil conversation with me first. Clear the air. If you give me a chance to talk, I promise I'll work on whatever was bothering you. Prove to me you're not a f*cking five year old who just blocks people for looking at you the wrong way.
Thank you for your attention to this matter. My door is always open.
Addendum: I've made a few enemies. I am aware of them. Some of them are my fault, others are misunderstandings, and some are overreactions. I've done my best to repair those bridges with no success. I cannot change the past. If you think I deserve a block because of what some stubborn fool says about me, then you are sorely mistaken. I don't block based on what others say about people. That's beneath me and it should be beneath you too.

FA+

Personally every invitation to a civil conversation was immediately proven to not be civil in the slightest. Met with unlimited barrage of logical fallacies. Everyone thinks they work on facts and logic - but to find a person who will change their views when presented the facts is truly rare.
Grain is tired...
Blocking is fun. And ever since moving up my policy to "block at first sign of irrationally" - time online became so much easier. Don't worry about it, even if you'd block everyone constantly, the portion of population that remains unblocked is still far more than one could ever get to befriend.
I love being blocked. I love blocking. <3
There are people I block in regards to politics but even so it's not until after they've proven to be uncivil. I think an amount of decorum is not unreasonable to ask.
I have no idea if any of these blocks are political in nature but I do not get political often on FA and such a block would be absolutely loco.
I agree with you on blocking as well.
Any time I go through my profile and see names on my block list and can't remember why I blocked them, I unblock them immediately.
I am pretty sure I have found myself Blocked by profiles I had never visited or interacted with before. I think there must be lists being passed around just blocking people someone else didn't like, without context.
I don't like it either.
But hey.. they're gonna miss out on a ton of cute and awesome TF art commissioned by you, more fool them!
Also I’ve been blocked for putting a Cheeto furry scale meme or just because I welcomed them to furaffinity, like I would like to make friends but I’ve been blocked for various reasons that I don’t know which artists I am allowed to talk too anymore,
Also there’s this firstname1234 guy who’s stalking me waiting for me to do something bad so they cam say that I’m doing bad things to two artists who won’t forgive me over that two year old incident.
I also have autism too as well so I understand your pain
these days people block someone mostly over rumors from others that they are a bad person or something like that and there isn't much you can do to clear your name. it does get a bit annoying when people you barely know block you for no reason, but that is just how it is.
Sorry to sound blunt, Not trying to be an asshole, just trying to point out the problem with that logic. Just move on with your day and spend time with people that will understand. If someone is blocking you, you really don't need a reason every single time. Just focus on friends, I know you have em. Hope whatever it was, you've been able to move on now.
If someone blocks me for something unreasonable, well then I do reserve the choice to call them out for being petty. And I'm sorry, but as a fellow autistic person, we have to admit that perhaps sometimes we don't read social situations properly. It's not an excuse, it's an explanation. I have trouble reading people. Saying I'm not accountable for that is not really fair. I'm just asking for a little feedback, and I think it benefits everyone if I am allowed to fix behavior that's been bothering someone.
I don't like to use autism as a crutch, but I find some people just assume I'm an asshole when I simply didn't read a situation properly. Of course I apologize when I'm allowed to do so.
