Remember when I said that I hated Disney live-action remakes because they were always bland, terrible, and a waste of time, and when I complained about the autotuned singing and the millions of dollars wasted on uncanny looking CGI? However, there is one remake that I genuinely enjoyed, in spite of its flaws, and that was The Jungle Book from 2016. I especially liked how they made King Louie a Gigantopithecus, a prehistoric ape that I would like to see as a close relative to whatever species Crumbo is.
