When I was in my late teens or early twenties, I used to be really, really fascinated by Ickis, who was a character from the 90s Nickelodeon cartoon that I'm sure some of you haven't heard about before, called Aaahh Real Monsters. Let me be honest with you. I haven't watched much of the show since I'm not a big horror type of person, but I thought he had a very unique and interesting character design. I thought his face looked like one of those bats that I liked so much, probably the Mexican free tailed bat. I would've used the word cute to describe Ickis, but I don't think he would approve of it. I also liked the sound of his voice when he talked, hence why I sometimes liked calling him Eekies or Eekie Squeakie. I thought it would be the perfect kind of voice for my character Buster the Flying Fox Bat. Back then, Charlie Adler was my favorite voice actor. I'm not as really into Ickis as I used to be, since there are other characters that I'm interested in, but he still puts a smile on my face whenever I see him.
