Considerations for the Future.
Progress is coming along. I'm cleaning up my queue so I can move through these commissions with less side-material on my plate.
In the meantime I'm kicking around a few ideas for what I'm going to do for the next few years. I've been advised a few times that starting a patreon (Or other paysite depending) to go along with my writing would help fill the gaps in my income. This I am unsure of. I don't believe I produce material at a high enough quality or in a high enough volume to justify something like that.
I'm also in a position where I have to remake my commission queue, as I've gotten at least 4 extra commissions since I closed and now I'm getting bogged down. I will revise the queue this weekend to show where everyone is at. Those that followed the rules and got their piece when I was open will not be moved from their place. They still come first.
BORING PERSONAL NOTE:
Anxiously wondering whether or not I ought to put more time into this whole commission thing. It takes up almost all the time I have I don't spend at work or playing Warhammer. And naturally, it takes up a huge part of my thoughts when I'm trying to sleep. I should like to do it as a full-time occupation and make a meager living off of it. I'm extremely lucky and blessed to have such considerate, accommodating, and generous people in my life that will help sustain this passion of mine. At the same time, things are moving around me so quickly and so wildly in real life. Things change so drastically so quickly and yet many things remain in the same dismal state. I'd like to finish these commissions and take a break to write some novels. But I doubt that would be a financially wise thing to do. In this day and age a young man has to take a hundred dollars or fifty dollars whenever he can get it.
Apologies for the lack of drawings and updates. I've been working at the commissions at least 5 times a week. Just been too whipped and cynical to draw something amusing. Trying to figure a proper path forward given everything that's happened this year. Look forward to more material soon. Editing here and writing there.

I'd just tell you "you do great" but that probably won't get the point across. So think of it this way; people willingly throw their money at you, even OUTSIDE of the time your commissions are ACTUALLY open. People are excited to see your work and willing to pay for it, so much so they hope to get into the queue faster. I think that's a pretty good sign that you make satisfying, great stuff.
Same with when you raise the price and people still pay, they consider it a worthy investment. Or when you get customers who come back for more of your work, it's a compliment to your abilities.
Have some faith in yourself, bud. The biggest hurdle is making sure Patreon doesn't bust your ass for making something that isn't vanilla because good ol' corporate overlords don't like it.
I wish I had advice for the personal note stuff but honestly, I don't. Similar boat. Just hoping to ride it out.
I look forward to when you open your commissions again though, when you're ready. :] IDEALLY I can snag one...
